Stock market: today’s winners and losers

Canada’s main stock index tumbled as high government bond yields weighed on rate-sensitive tech stocks, while investors’ attention shifted to the Bank of Canada’s interest rate meeting .
The Bank of Canada will be one of the first major economies to announce its rate hike decision on Wednesday, with the US Federal Reserve and European Central Bank expected to follow next week.
“I believe more now that this could be the last upside,” said Bryden Teich, portfolio manager at Avenue Investment Management.
