What is the energy audit?

How much does an energy audit cost?

Who can carry out the energy audit?
The energy audit must be carried out by a qualified professional (for example: qualified study office, architectural firms and architects registered with the order and having undergone training or certified companies RGE global offer). This professional must not have any connection likely to affect his impartiality and its independence from the owner or the representative who calls on him.
Since the fees are free, the cost of the energy audit can therefore vary from one professional to another.
Only the sole owner of a building comprising several accommodations or a detached house is obliged to carry out this energy audit of the property or part of a building for residential use offered for sale. The property must have been classified D, E, F or G through the energy performance diagnosis.
The selling owner or his representative (for example, a real estate agency) must submit the energy audit to the future buyer during the first visit to the building or part of the building subject to the audit. The document can be in paper or electronic format.
