To develop its Centennial Formula, Sinopharma was inspired by a very old formula, established by a pharmacist who would have lived 110 years. This contains six major plants for longevity, widely used in Chinese pharmacopoeia. With its Centennial Formula, Sinopharma is competing for the third edition of the Prix Pleine Vie in the food supplement category.

Traditional oriental medicine adapted to the western way of life

Chinese medicine, which uses many plants, has a very different approach to health than Western medicine. According to the Su Wen, one of the oldest works of Chinese medicine, to live a century while maintaining health and vitality, one must observe the laws of the Tao. This philosophy is to keep your body healthy by caring for it before the onset of illness.

The Sinopharma laboratory was born from the association of specialists in traditional oriental medicine who wanted to make the benefits of oriental herbal medicine and its dietetics accessible to as many people as possible, by adapting it to the western way of life. This is how Sinopharma has developed several ranges of food supplements.

The Centennial Formula, which strengthens all the elements of the body

The Centenarians Formula is aimed at people aged 50 and over who wish to age in good health. This very old formula was established by a traditional Chinese medicine pharmacist who is said to have lived for over 100 years. Composed of plants and roots well known in the Chinese pharmacopoeia, the Centenarians Formula strengthens all the elements of the body, “all the roots of the Tree of Life” and increases longevity.

This formula has different virtues: it tones the defensive energy as well as the digestive system, it tones the jing and the loins and it supports the uro-genital system. Its composition contains four major plants for longevity: ginseng, astragalus (Huanq Qi), multi-flowered knotweed (He Shou Wu) and goji.

Known to be the Chinese emperors’ longevity secret, ginseng repairs the five viscera, rebalances physical and intellectual energy, prolongs life, stimulates immune defenses and genital functions. It also regulates blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
As for astragalus, in addition to its anti-aging effects, it increases vital energy, stimulates immunity, helps fight against stress, respiratory ailments and also has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiaging and antivirals.
The multi-flowered knotweed root (He Shou Wu), reputed to be a “root of longevity”, slows down the appearance of white hair. It also tones the liver and the kidneys, organs that participate in the regeneration and conservation of energy.
Finally, goji, a fruit generally consumed fresh or dried, reduces anxiety, depression, supports in times of exhaustion, treats respiratory disorders, infertility, prevents cardiovascular diseases, improves vision…

The Centenarians Formula comes in the form of capsules. It is advisable to take two in the morning and two in the evening, before meals (which corresponds to 2 g per day). Depending on your age, to obtain the best results, Sinopharma recommends that you do more or less frequent cures:

– from 50 to 60 years old: 2 cures of 30 days each year (February – September)

– from 60 to 70 years old: 4 cures of 30 days per year (one per quarter)

– from 70 to 80 years old: 6 cures of 20 days per year (one every 2 months)
