Description of the mission
Within the department in charge of borrower insurance activities, position attached to the risk, statistics and management unit.
Depending on the skills and deadlines for completion, the student will potentially be required to work on one or other of the following themes.
1st theme: Development of a predictive model to anticipate the loss ratio and the operational load in order to help decision-making in terms of management
2nd theme: Contribute to the development of a machine learning model for decision support in claims handling
3rd theme: Contribute to the optimization of an already designed predictive model. Development of NLP techniques
4th theme: Research and development of data visualization tools allowing the analysis of the results of an AI model
5th theme: Develop a data mining method to detect and target the operational risks of non-compliance in the processing of files.
6th theme: Contribute to the work of setting up a global database resulting from the various business applications used.
Other ad hoc statistical studies may be entrusted to the student according to the needs of the service and the needs for developing the student’s skills.
Profile
In order to carry out your missions, you will be equipped with the following professional skills:
Preparation of a Master II in Economic Analysis and Policy (econometrics, mathematics) or Mathematical Engineering (statistics, forecasts) or Management Information Technology (statistics, economics, decision-making, data analysis, data science) or equivalent
* Knowledge and effective practice of SAS, Excel, VB, Tableau, Oracle, Python (programming languages) in order to:
– Use databases and/or query tools
– Use simulation and/or decision support and/or data science tools
* Rigor and reliability
* Abilities of synthesis, expression (clarity and pedagogy)
* Capacity for initiative and autonomy within the framework of teamwork.
* Reinforced requirement for confidentiality due to legal and regulatory obligations (confidentiality of health data) and the strategic nature of certain data which belong to the company’s assets.
