Axa IM Alts insists on the healthcare market in Japan

Axa IM Alts acquired two retirement homes in Japan on behalf of its clients. The portfolio includes more than 170 newly developed and built guest rooms, split between two assets in Kyoto City and Nishinomiya City, both strategically located in the Osaka area.

This acquisition marks the company’s second transaction in this sector in Japan; it closely follows the entry of Axa IM Alts into the Japanese healthcare market in December 2022 with the acquisition of a portfolio of 15 retirement homes located in Tokyo, Osaka and Aichi for €156 million.
